The CollegeSwimming Foundation seeks to simply the fundraising process for college swimming programs and their fans. The CollegeSwimming Foundation will provide central “marketplace” of sorts for teams to send donors and for donors to find their favorite team.
Teams have traditionally sought donations from two sources – parents and alumni. While valuable, the audience is inherently limited. The Fundraising Campaign of President Barrack Obama offers a new fundraising model, however. His campaign harnessed the energies and dollars of millions of "micro-donors" making contributions of $20, $50 and $100. When he was done, Obama had amassed more campaign donations than all previous Presidential campaigns combined.
We want to unleash the power of the swimming community to strengthen our sport.
